Reiki is an ancient Japanese alternative healing practice. It is the Japanese word for "Universal life force energy".

The word has two parts, "Rei" which signifies Universal Transcendental Spirit and Essence, and then "KI" which signifies Vital Life Force Energy. Reiki is performed when a Practitioner aligns him/herself with the Universal life force and channels it through to the Receiver.

The purpose is to assist in the cleansing of stressful and misaligned energies. To assist in the balancing of the Receivers energy field, be it on one level or multiple levels; physical, emotional, mental, psychological and or spiritual. By cleansing and aligning your energy field you become more resilient to life stressors.
